Title: Best resource ever!
I have been tasked with leading our church's sharing--evangelism--ministries, and in my studying how to go about such a process relationally and with good theology, a parishioner suggested Manna and Mercy to me as a resource.
I have never encountered anything that gives such an accessible, intergenerational, and enlightening approach to scripture no matter if you're opening the Bible for the first time or have been studying it your whole life. The way Daniel Erlander has captured the essence of scripture and God's work in our midst in all of its power, without any feeling of boxed up triteness, is incredible. Here's to good kin_dom theology!!!!
I'll be using this book as a training tool for my church members to be able to explain the Christian story and why it's their story, as well as for folks wanting to join our church to know the way of living to which they're committing.
Thank you, thank you Daniel Erlander for this resource that will help me lead my congregation and establish a culture of evangelism that's inviting, articulate, and based not in fear but rather the joy of a partner people immersed in God's mending work.
